The 2 days Uganda Gorilla Tour starts & Ends in Kigali – Rwanda, and leads trekkers to the lush and pristine Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Uganda through Cyanika land boarder. Situated in south-western Uganda, Bwindi is the best place for gorilla numbers (almost half the World’s population of mountain gorillas) and highest number of gorilla families to trek.
Bwindi park is about 4 hours’ drive from Rwanda’s City and over 8 hours’ from Kampala City, making Rwanda an ideal gateway into the endowed gorilla trekking destination in Uganda.

BRIEF ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival/pick-up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and return to Kigali.
DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival/pick-up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park / Optional: Batwa visit.
On arrival at Kigali International Airport / Pick up from your Kigali Hotel by driver/guide, and depart for Bwindi Gorilla park Uganda (+/-4hrs). Enjoy the magical views of Rwanda’s numerous rolling hills, the Virunga Volcanoes as well as Uganda’s countryside.
Optional: Batwa visit:
If time allows, take an evening walk to the Batwa community to enjoy cultural & music performances as well as ancient culture demonstrations. Later, return to your lodge.(FB)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and return to Kigali / Departure
After early breakfast, transfer to the park HQ for briefing before starting your Gorilla trekking experience.
The gorilla trek can take anything from few minutes to several hours depending on where they nested the previous night. Gorillas are amazing creatures, with so much energy yet gentle therefore commonly known as the gentle giants of Bwindi. Once you locate the gorillas with help of your guide and trackers, you are allowed to stay with them for only one hour – take pictures and learn more about their habits.
Gorilla Trekking is unpredictable, and physical fitness is required for this adventure.
After, transfer back to Kigali – Rwanda, either to your residence OR for your connecting flight to next destination (BL).
