Uganda’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Rebecca Kadaga, visited projects undertaken by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities (MTWA) in the Busoga sub-region.
Accompanied by officials from Jinja district, including the Mayor and City Clerk, she inspected the Uganda Hotel and Tourism Training Institute and the Source of the Nile area.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the developments at the Source of the Nile and emphasized the need for further land acquisition to make it competitive. She also commended the MTWA Minister for allowing the Explore Campaign to take place in Busoga, which she sees as an opportunity to showcase the region’s unique cultural and natural beauty, and encouraged all people in Busoga to participate in the campaign.
