The 2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trek and Mount Bisoke Hike is a short tour involving two of Rwanda’s most popular and exciting activities located in Volcanoes National Park.
Volcanoes National Park in the Northern Province of Rwanda was established in 1925 to save the Mountain gorillas that were being threatened and has habituated gorilla families. This Park is also a home to five of the eight Virunga Volcanoes, giving you the chance to hike Mount Bisoke Hike. Mount Bisoke is a dormant Virunga Volcano with a height of 3711 meters above sea level.

- Hike to the peak of Mount Bisoke.

DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Mount Bisoke Hike
Meet and greet by your safari Guide and transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri area (+/-2 hrs.)
On arrival, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for briefing and registration. Set off from your trailhead for your Hike to Mount Bisoke (+/-5hrs). Upon reaching the peak, enjoy your packed lunch before returning to the bottom (+/- 3 hrs.) Then transfer to your lodge (LD)
Day 2: Gorilla trekking / Transfer to Kigali / Departure
Today, report to Kinigi Visitor Centre for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Then depart for your trekking experience in search of the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking involves hiking through the rugged terrain, thick forest, and maneuvering muddy trails. This can be strenuous therefore physical fitness is required.
After you locate the gorillas, spend 1 hour with these amazing rare apes.
After the Trek, transfer back to Kigali – visiting the Genocide Memorial Center, before transferring to your hotel / residence / Airport for your departure flight.
